Whether you choose to attend a group session or prefer more one to one training with your puppy, getting the basics right is important.
Experienced Dog Owner?
We often get clients who have owned dogs multiple times before but are really struggling with a new puppy - previous ownership of a dog, particularly one owned for many years, doesn't mean buying a new one will be easy. You might have forgotten what it was like to have a baby dog, or have gotten so used to an adult dog who knew the rules and routines that the new puppy is frustrating.
First Time Dog Owner
Maybe you've never owned a dog before and are overwhelmed with the massive amount of conflicting advice online. You may even have read 'solutions' to puppy problems that make you feel uncomfortable. Golden rule number one when training a dog - if the method recommended asks you to do something to your puppy that makes you feel icky or uncomfortable, trust your instincts and get a second opinion.

Puppy Learning
Puppies are like sponges when it comes to learning - they absorb EVERYTHING. Sounds good at first right? But this means they learn all of the good stuff AND all of the bad stuff. Knowing how to avoid the bad stuff becoming the norm is key in raising a puppy that can settle well into your home and family.
Dog Training Foundations
Sometimes we get called in to deal with new behaviours in dogs, but most often we are working with owners to fix things that have been a problem since puppyhood. By getting good foundations in place, you can avoid some future issues, set out your expectations to your puppy and have a better relationship with them.
