Mantrailing Equipment
Useful items for mantrailing sessions

The Essentials
For all mantrailing sessions you will need a long line of ideally 10m in length, though 5m is fine for beginners. We recommend waterproof ones for easy cleaning.
This is a great budget option.
A harness is always required for any mantrailing session. There is a huge range available and it's best to choose one that fits your dog snugly. Any harness will do, but specific sport harnesses with longer backs are available.
A tub for your food rewards is needed too. Ideally something your dog can eat from but not too big so the misper can carry it in a pocket if needed. We like the round takeaway sauce tubs!
Optional Extras
Gloves
Protective gloves with a good grip are not essential but can be very helpful in wet weather or if your dog is a very strong puller to prevent slipping or friction burns. Weightlifting or cycling gloves are ideal.
Toy Reward
Some dogs prefer a toy reward to the food rewards. Others like both. Offering a fun toy can really up their game. Try Tug-e-Nuff Toys
